Finding your way around¶
Colleag has one screen and a small number of panels. Once you know the sidebar, you know the product.
The sidebar, top to bottom¶
The sidebar is headed COLLEAG.AI with a chevron that collapses it to a narrow rail. Below that come four sections, one per business area:
- PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT — with a + New link for creating a product.
- COMMERCIAL
- CORPORATE
- QUALITY SYSTEM
Each section has a chevron and a label. The chevron opens and closes the section; clicking the label switches you into that area.
Inside Product Development¶
Because engineering work is always about one product, this section has an extra control: a Select product… dropdown listing your products. Pick one and the agents appear underneath it — Product Lead, Hardware, Firmware, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Test & V&V, Requirements and Safety, each with its own colour dot.
No product selected, no engineering agents
The discipline list stays hidden until you choose a product. That is deliberate: a Hardware agent with no product has nothing to read and nothing to write to. The other three areas work at company level and need no product.
Drafts and reviews¶
When a product has unpublished work, two counters appear:
- an orange dot with n drafts — documents changed but not yet published;
- a purple pulsing dot with n reviews — review requests waiting for someone.
They are your reminder that work is sitting unfinished. Both are explained in Publishing and reviews.
Conversations¶
The bottom of the sidebar is your chat history. The heading shows what is being listed — for example HARDWARE CHATS — and two links sit beside it:
- All switches to every conversation across all agents, with a colour dot showing which agent each one belongs to. It then reads Filter, which takes you back to the current agent only.
- + New starts a fresh conversation.
Conversations are titled from your first message and stamped with a relative time such as 2h ago or Yesterday.
The collapsed rail¶
Click the chevron in the sidebar header to collapse it to a 52-pixel rail. You keep the essentials: open the sidebar again, start a new conversation, create a new product, the draft and review counts, and agent settings. Useful when you want the canvas as wide as possible.
Getting to settings¶
Two ways, both in the top bar: the Settings link, or Settings in your avatar menu. Settings has its own horizontal menu — Workspace | Company, Billing, Members, Notifications, Your Data, Integrations, AI, Standards, SOPs, Disciplines, Revisions, Reset. Workspace on the far left brings you back.
Everything on that menu is described in Settings & Admin.
Keyboard and browser habits¶
- Colleag is a single-page app. Use the in-app navigation rather than the browser back button, which can drop you out of a panel unexpectedly.
- The manual you are reading opens in a separate tab from User Manual in the avatar menu, so you never lose your place in the workspace.
